About Dize

About Dize

Dize’s love of yoga and teaching shines through in every class. Her sessions are focused and effective, grounded in her core principles of consciousness, health, freedom, and joy.

She has been deeply committed to the Iyengar Yoga tradition since the age of 18. Her first class in 1998, with teacher Brigitta Tummon, sparked a lifelong path. Soon after, Dize attended her first workshop with Faeq Biria, a close student of B.K.S. Iyengar. That experience led to many years of dedicated study with Faeq, including summer intensives lasting up to six weeks and involving more than eight hours of practice a day, including teacher-level training.

In 2005, Dize moved to Paris to study more closely with Faeq and his wife Corine Biria—who became her teacher as well. In 2025, she continues her studies with Corine as part of the Yoga Vidya program, a course dedicated to the deepening and integration of yogic understanding at an advanced level.

At the heart of Dize’s teaching is the understanding that yoga is not just a physical discipline. She teaches from the perspective that yoga is a lifelong unfolding—one that touches every layer of being and connects us to a deeper source within ourselves.

location-based pricing 🌍

To make yoga more accessible around the world, class rates are offered in two tiers depending on your region:

If you live in Africa, Eastern Europe, or South America — please use the Rand rate (R).
If you live in the UK, Western Europe, USA, or Australia — please use the Euro rate (€).

Your rate is based on where you live, not where you're traveling or logging in from.
This trust-based system helps make classes affordable and fair for our international community.

Student Testimonials and Feedback

Testimonials
“Dize is 100% committed to her students. I have rarely met someone with such a deep passion for yoga and how it can make the world a better place, one body at a time! She is strong, and gentle at the same time and that comes across in the way she teaches.”

Loren

“Dize's teaching is so dynamic online, I sometimes forget she can't see me if I am doing the recording. Dize is very engaged and adept at online teaching.”

Mariah

“Thank you for the detailed explanations and demonstrations of how to do the poses correctly. I always appreciate it and can feel what a difference it makes when you have an understanding of how the body moves in a pose and on which part the emphasis needs to be for an effective pose.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked Questions

Q: What is Iyengar Yoga, and how is it different from other yoga styles?

A: Iyengar Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga that emphasizes precision, alignment, and the use of props such as blocks, straps, and blankets to make poses accessible for all levels. Unlike flow-based styles like Vinyasa, Iyengar Yoga focuses on holding poses for longer periods to develop strength, stability, and awareness.

Q: Do I need to be flexible to practice Iyengar Yoga?

A: No! Iyengar Yoga is designed for all levels, including beginners. The use of props helps students of all abilities achieve proper alignment and gradually improve flexibility, strength, and balance.

Q: What props are commonly used in Iyengar Yoga, and why?

A: Props such as yoga blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, and chairs are used to support the body in achieving correct alignment, making poses more accessible and reducing the risk of injury. They also help students hold poses for longer durations with greater ease.
